The Brewery have supplied the vfx for for Jake Chapman’s adaptation of his own book entitled The Marriage of Reason and Squalor.  Described as a Mills and Boon parody, Chapmans story stars Sophie Kennedy Clark as Chlamydia Love a hapless office girl in love with illusive star surgeon Algernon Hertz played by Rhys Ifans.

The Brewery was tasked with some truly peculiar shots on this production. A cg rockpool was placed under the cap of a drunken sailer, volcanoes were made out vomit and flowers left to rot in timelapse photography. To cap it off the finale of  the film was hand animated using a combination of clay and stopmotion.

The Marriage of Reason and Squalor screened on Sky Arts as a four part tv show and was cut into a feature film for international release.
